    You don't often see Michael and Jessica in shoes, but when you do, you can pretty much guarantee they're either in moccasins or flip flops.

    They recognize the 100% barefoot lifestyle isn't for everyone. Whether due to climate conditions, food vendor policies or workplace dress codes, you probably find yourself needing footwear every now and then.

    Shoe manufacturers have inundated the market with minimalist and "barefoot-like" shoes. Though the selection can be daunting, you can quickly eliminate the vast majority of shoes by following Michael's simple guidelines.

    As with everything in life, take your time adjusting to your new footwear. (In other words, don't go running a 10K the first day you get a new pair of shoes... try walking around in them first and gradually build up your mileage.) Your feet will thank you!
